Superman is an incredibly powerful alien from the planet Krypton, he was born under the name Kal-El but was rocketed to Earth as a baby moments before his home planet's destruction. Once he had arrived on Earth he was discovered and adopted by a couple from Kansas and was raised under the name Clark Kent. Once he started to develop and control his powers he started protecting the Earth through a secret identity "Superman", he did this so he could still live a normal day to day life and protect the ones he loved from anyone that had conflict with his superhero identity.
